santa croce, while it is known for many good and bad things, is very well known for it's old world architectural beauty and impeccable landscaping. the lawns are large and vast and always manicured with large trees spotted along cobble stoned pathways to keep the old world charm in place. it is probably the closest anyone in the city of milan can get to the countryside. the gardens are absolutely breath taking but you won't find foreign plants here. wanting to also be environmental, only native plants were ever used in the landscaping to keep italy exactly the way it is.
